Abstract : Pre-cast building components are manufactured in factories and assembled at the site. The pre-cast components are connected on site. A Connection is an assembly of joints that transmits forces and moments at the interface of a structural member. A connection comprises many loads transmitting joints. The connection of discrete elements in pre-cast concrete structures has a vital role in the overall continuity of the building. In the present study, different connections and connectors are subjected to various dynamic loading conditions under analytical, experiment and numerical investigations. Most studies focused on the impact of connections for various pre-cast structural elements. The development of the finite element model, dimensions and connection material of the pre-cast wall panel connections and connectors were evaluated. This paper focuses primarily on the case studies of actual pre-cast elements subjected to various loading in experiment, analytical and numerical investigation. The paper also discusses the current issues and possible challenges..

Abstract : This research motivated by the need to assemble the resistant to brown plant hoppers black rice varieties whose performance is farmers and the community favor. Many local genetic resources are available for black rice, one of which is Cempo Ireng. Improvements in the characteristics of this rice has been carried out to produce the expected lines of Sebelas Maret University of black rice, but this line is not resistant to brown plant hoppers. Preliminary research has carried out by irradiating the line of black rice using 200 Gy gamma rays. The current research aims to evaluate the early flowering M2 population, observe the performance variability, heritability, lignin content and conduct individual selection for the next generation population. Lignin content was evaluate as an approach to identify resistance to brown plant hoppers. Lignin accumulation is needed for against the brown plant hopper attack on rice because lignin can strengthen the plant tissue and affected to herbivore eat behaviour. The results showed that there were variations in lignin content ranging from 10 to 22%, and high heritability was found in plant height. Wide genetic variability found on plant height and number seed per panicle. This results can be take into consider for individual selection on this generation. We get 20 number of plant accession selected for M3 population..

Abstract : The depletion of fossil fuel and rapid increased demand of fossil fuel motivates a number of researchers to work on the use of biodiesel on compression ignition engine. Because of the high lipid content algal oil appears to be very apt to biodiesel production in the near future. On the whole, B20MEOA+ A 3LPM blend with 5 hole nozzle shows better performance compared to diesel fuel. In this paper analysis the experiment work different nozzle holes are set to 3 holes nozzle, 4 holes nozzle and 5 holes nozzle and the 20% of biodiesel with 3LPM acetylene is used to obtain the performance and emission characteristics, the best nozzle is determined. The experiment work different parameters such as carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, hydrocarbon, smoke density and brake thermal efficiency against the brake power of the engine are drawn and compared with the respective blends of B20MEOA+ A 3LPM and neat diesel fuel..

Abstract : The construction industry has long been considered as a high-risk one. Therefore, the construction industry is still in the early stages of developing safety performance. It is argued that to improve safety performance continuously and consistently, it is necessary to identify aspects that affect safety performance. In this regard, a safety culture is a critical instrument for maintaining excellent safety performance, especially in reducing accidents and unwanted behavior. However, there is some empirical evidence in the literature that associates safe-ty culture with actual safety performance, such as unsafe or undesirable employee behavior in the construction industry. This study proposed a framework in which safety culture factors directly influence employee safety performance in terms of violation behavior and employee misconduct. It also suggests that security compliance mediates the link between security culture factors and employee security performance. This investigation was conducted in Yemen. The target group is construction companies listed in the Yemeni Ministry of Labor and Highways. The survey-based method was collected from 248 workers and supervisors based on cutting-edge construction by construction companies in Yemen. In this study, we used the SmartPLS technique. This study showed that safety management systems, safety training, workplace pressure, and personal safety attitudes directly and negatively impact employee safety performance in terms of violation behavior and employee misconduct. In addition, the study found that safety compliance mediated the link between managerial engagement, safety management system, workplace impact, and personal safety perceptions, and employee safety performance in terms of employee violation and misconduct..

Abstract : Construction industry has widely recognized as a high-risk industry; however, the construction industry is still in its early stages of safety performance development. It is necessary to identify the aspects that impact safety performance. In this regard, safety culture is viewed as a critical instrument for maintaining excellent safety performance, particularly in terms of decreasing accidents and unwanted behavior. However, there is few empirical evidence in the literature that relates safety culture to real safety performance, such as unsafe or undesirable behaviors of employees in the construction industry. To fill this gap, this study proposed a structural framework in which safety culture factors directly influence personnel safety compliance. The targeted population were the construction firms in Yemen listed in the Ministry of Works and Highways. The survey-based method was used to collect data from 248 of front-line construction site-based workers and supervisors at Yemeni construction firms. PLS technique was employed in this study. This study found that safety management systems, safety training, workplace pressure, and personal safety attitude directly and negatively im-pact the personnel safety performance in terms of violations and personnel error behavior..
