Senthilkumar.P, D.Tensing, G.Hemalatha, S.Vivekananda Sharma, Daniel.C,

Abstract : Pre-cast building components are manufactured in factories and assembled at the site. The pre-cast components are connected on site. A Connection is an assembly of joints that transmits forces and moments at the interface of a structural member. A connection comprises many loads transmitting joints. The connection of discrete elements in pre-cast concrete structures has a vital role in the overall continuity of the building. In the present study, different connections and connectors are subjected to various dynamic loading conditions under analytical, experiment and numerical investigations. Most studies focused on the impact of connections for various pre-cast structural elements. The development of the finite element model, dimensions and connection material of the pre-cast wall panel connections and connectors were evaluated. This paper focuses primarily on the case studies of actual pre-cast elements subjected to various loading in experiment, analytical and numerical investigation. The paper also discusses the current issues and possible challenges.
