Abstract : In this paper, characteristic of hemp/bagasse fibres hybrid reinforced Poly-lactic Acid (PLA) green composite (GC) materials were extensively studied. The GC’s materials synthesis was carry out using PLA emulsion (PL2000) as matrix with mass fraction of 60% and 40% of hemp/bagasse hybrid fibres as reinforcement. mass fraction ratio of (40%:0%), (30%:10%), (20%:20%), (10%:30%), and (0%:40%), respectively. The hemp and bagasse fibers surfaces are modify using the alkalization method and the material synthesis using the compression molding method. The GC was characterized using tensile, flexural, density and swelling tests. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe the internal morphology of the GC. The microstructure of the GC sample with hemp/bagasse fibers mass ratio 10%:30% D sample hybrid GC showed better interfacial bonding and the addition of bagasse fiber improve the interfacial strength. It has been conclude that the D sample (sample with 10% hemp fiber and 30% bagasse fiber ratio allow obtaining GC with better tensile and flexural properties than the A, B, C, and E samples. The results obtained in this study may be used for further comparative study of the hybrid GC with different matrix and addition of citric acid as crosslinker agent.
