Abstract : E-Commerce Web Applications testing has become a complex and tedious task because of their growing nature as well as increasing number of their probable customers. To ensure that these web applications are dependable, reliable testing tools as well as severe testing methods are required. In this paper various methods for web application evaluation have been discussed. The literature also addresses various tools used for performance testing of e-commerce web applications along with several parameters for performance testing. Results and inferences obtained after execution of performance tests on one of the well know e-commerce web application amazon.in using Apache JMeter Tool have also been presented. It is important to choose an appropriate testing tool for the purpose of testing a particular web application. The focus of this study is to review state -of -the- art performance testing tools so as to help testers and researchers to compare them and choose the best tool suitable for a particular purpose.
