Abstract : An alternating direction implicit scheme is presented to solve Poisson’s equation of fractional order using the shifted Grünwald-Letnikov estimate. Consistency and uniqueness of the method are discussed. It is shown that the rate of convergence in case of the ADI method is faster than the general five points formula. Exact and numerical solutions are constructed and compared. Then the efficiency of the proposed method is verified..

Abstract : Masonry structures originated from Europe with a wall thickness of greater than one layer and used mixed pozzolan mortar without a structural skeleton consisting of tied beams and columns. Many historical buildings were able to survive under the dynamic actions of medium earthquakes. The research attempted to carry out dynamic testing based on free vibration to determine the dynamic characteristics of masonry, such as natural frequency and damping ratio. This study aims to understand the characteristics of brick masonry pillars with pozzolanic mortar representing a part of historical building structures compared to brick masonry pillars with a mixture of Portland cement and sand (PC mortar) as used in today's structures. The mortar ingredient for the masonry consisted of red brick powder, lime powder (called 'pozzolan'), sand, and water. The result shows that the brick masonry with the pozzolanic mortar at 90 days has lower stiffness than masonry with the mortar mixture of Portland cement. The brick masonry's natural frequency and damping ratio with the pozzolanic mortar is 17.28 Hz and 2.67%. In contrast, the brick masonry with the mortar mixture of Portland cement was 23.93 Hz and 1.89%..

Abstract : Betaine plant is one of the high-risk industries since it processes a dangerous, toxic, and flammable raw material called dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA) under high temperature and high-pressure operating conditions. This study analyses the risk impact of DMAPA in the chemical process area. This research was conducted at Betaine Plant Unilever Oleochemical Indonesia (UOI). Leaks occur in iso tank truck, unloading pump, storage tank, feed pump, and amidoamine reactor with wind direction as an independent variable like, west southwest (WSW), northeast (NE), and northwest (NW) where the potential dangers are jet fire, flash fire, pool fire, and gas dispersion. Consequence’s analysis is conducted with the ALOHA simulation, and worst scenario determination by using HAZOP, Risk Ranking Matrix, and f-N curve. Consequences analysis by utilizing ALOHA shows that the northwest wind direction is the most terrible wind direction with the damage about 16 facilities. The result of f-N curve, HAZOP, and Risk Ranking Matrix analysis show that the leaking in the amidoamine reactor is the worst-case scenario with the frequency of about 1000 years with a radius of around 42 meters and the fatality is approximated about 31 people. Within this research, it is also proposed 4 steps regarding emergency management for every scenario like mitigation through adding some safety instruments, planning and preparedness through the training and creation of an emergency response team, rescue through evacuation routes, and recovery through re-commissioning event..

Abstract :

The process of creating a prototype library based on historic architectural data and paving the way for virtually built heritage structures is known as heritage building information modelling (HBIM). The steps in HBIM are as follows: documentation phase, design phase, and three-dimensional (3D) model creation phase. Photogrammetry is used to generate 3D digital models of objects by uploading multiple photos using a certain software while crowdsourcing is the allocation of a task to a group of people, and the output sourced from the Internet. The aim of this study is to demonstrate constraints and challenges for creating HBIM models through combining photogrammetry and crowdsourcing. The proposed method is divided into two sections: first, in-depth literature review of photogrammetry and crowdsourcing in addition to exploring previous case studies to develop a framework for the process. Second, pilot experiments for testing the framework by generating HBIM 3D digital model for two old heritage buildings in Jeddah. It was concluded with certain considerations to avoid failure of creation of HBIM 3D model.

Abstract : Currently, voice assistance as a user interface through mobile applications is being developed for intelligence systems, especially for smart homes, which allow users to remotely control their home appliances. This article presents a study of acceptance and adoption of using the Internet of Things (IoT) in the form of mobile applications that use voice assistance for commanding the switch to turn on and off an appliance in a smart home. The objectives are to study the factors and the relationship between the factors that influence the adoption of the use of mobile application-based voice assistance for smart homes. The framework is constructed in the form of a unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation model (SEM) are used to test the goodness of fit of the model and hypotheses verification. According to the data analysis findings, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence positively influence the behavioral intention, and facilitating conditions positively influence the use behavior of using voice assistance for smart homes. The analysis of mediators reveals that age, experience, and voluntariness of use influence behavioral intention, whereas gender does not influence behavior intentional to use voice assistance in a smart home..
